Keynote Speakers

Colette Carlson

Many Communicate, Few Connect

The common denominators of the most successful individuals are their ability to effectively communicate and connect, regardless of situation, location, or audience. In competitive world filled with a global workforce, numeroucommunication channels, and daily digital distractions, getting your message heard has never been more challenging. Clear, concise communication is no longer enough to get results: connection must be part of the equation. Amplify your impact and form crucial relationships that drive productivity, engagement, and collaboration by learning how to:

  • Up your emotional quotient to increase your credibility and gain support
  • Foster healthy communication through focused, dedicated behaviors
  • Align your thoughts, words, and actions to build trust and increase influence
  • Communicate with candor and clarity while maintaining a respectful, human connection
  • Be a human highlighter who champions the accomplishments and strengths of every individual on your team

Colette teaches audiences how to transform relationships through the power of connected conversations. Her keynote programs are so personalized, attendees often assume Colette is one of them. She has the outstanding ability to connect through engaging content and laugh-out-loud humor.

With a Master’s Degree in Human Behavior, and more than 20 years of experience helping individuals change behaviors that impact their success, Colette understands the psychology, mindset, and skills required to make positive, long-lasting change.

Colette is a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), a designation held by fewer than 10% of the members belonging to the International Federation for Professional Speakers. In 2017, Colette was inducted into the CPAE Speaker Hall Fame®, a lifetime award that honors professional speakers who have reached the top echelon of platform excellence.

Jon Fussell

Evolving through Uncertainty

The current pandemic has altered our way of doing business, perhaps permanently in some ways. As a result, some potential blind spots or weaknesses within teams who are now distributed full time have been magnified. True leaders with a mindset of continuous improvement and the ability to leverage the collective mental horsepower of their teams will maximize their success. This client approved presentation will arm you with insights and tactics you can implement immediately to become a more adaptive and effective leader during times of crisis.

Jon Fussell spent his entire 20-year naval career in the Naval Special Warfare community. Over the course of multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, he led our nation’s most elite special mission units on hundreds of direct-action combat missions. Jon served in tactical leadership roles on SEAL Teams Three, Ten, Four; and SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team Two, prior to becoming a Troop Commander at Joint Special Operations Command’s Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Among many awards, Jon earned four Bronze Stars with Valor, and two Presidential Unit Citations.

You Are The Brand: The power and necessity of a purpose filled personal brand

Personal Branding: Most professionals are keenly aware of the need for a personal brand. Yet, growing a personal brand from the ground up, can feel overwhelming – or be overlooked. This can be due to any number of reasons: not in sales; not in leadership; don’t want to share personal information; too old; the list goes on and on. (For professionals who have not paid attention to their social media presence, this process can be even more intimidating.)

Be visible, make an impact.

To make meaningful connections with colleagues, clients and communities in the digital (and virtual) sphere, visibility and recognition are essential.

What does this mean? In a practical sense, it means you must be differentiated and recognizable. You must be visible. You must own your impact. You must grow and nurture an intentional personal brand.

This presentation will introduce the information and tools required to harness the power of your personal brand and demonstrate why command of your brand is key to unlocking your competitive advantage. You’ll discover ways to design your brand using your experiences and expertise and explore how to rise above the sea of sameness.
