Fiduciary Best Practices for DC Plan Sponsors 6:45 pm to 7:00 pm

Presented by

Jacob O’Shaughnessy of Arnerich Massena, Inc.

As a Committee member, how do you ensure that you are meeting your fiduciary responsibilities? How do you protect yourself from potential liability when offering a defined contribution retirement plan to your employees? Aspects such as DOL Safe Harbor guidance, increased Plan Sponsor fee disclosure requirements, and participant financial advice (just to name a few) are becoming more prevalent and are evolving at a rapid pace in today’s environment. Jake O’Shaughnessy’s will discuss what some of the current best practices are and how you too can implement them in your plan without taking on undue fiduciary risk for your organization.

Implications of New Mortality Tables for Pension Plan Sponsors 6:00 pm to 6:15 pm

Presented by

Will Clark-Shim of Milliman

The Society of Actuaries recently published a study of mortality experience for privately-sponsored pension plans in the United States.  The resulting RP-2014 mortality tables and MP-2014 generational projection scales represent a significant improvement in mortality expectations.  Will Clark-Shim will speak about the potential impact of these new tables on plan sponsors and other pension stakeholders.
